Stroke can strike anyone at any time leaving survivors with temporary or significant lingering movement and functional challenges.
In this workshop, we will look at the various types of stroke events. Though every stroke is different, strategies for known cause prevention and managing some common effects of stroke will be explored through asana adaptations for post-stroke rehabilitation and recovery.
Props
Have your yoga props available (3 blankets, chair, belt, 2 bricks, bolster, wall space). Access to additional props commonly used in Iyengar Yoga is helpful.
Recording
You will have unlimited access to the recording of this workshop for 2 weeks after the live workshop. Replays are available at our recording archive hosted on Union.
Continuing Education Credits
Continuing education credits with IYNAUS and IAYT (APD) are available.
