Description

Iyengar Yoga Therapeutics (IYT) is delighted to wecome Corine Biria back to Los Angeles. In her previous training for IYT in 2020, Corine inspired and guided teachers with her depth of knowledge in how to use yoga as therapy for conditions affecting the lower spine. In this workshop, she will review and expand upon her first training.
This training aims to establish guidelines and practical principals concerning spinal issues and support teachers and serious practitioners by:

  • Learning to diagnose from a yoga perspective
  • Developing observation and sensitivity as the tools of diagnosis
  • Helping the student guided by the insight and maturity of the teacher’s practice

 

Bio

Corine Biria embarked upon the path of Iyengar Yoga when she was 20 years old, ultimately studying under the tutelage of BKS Iyengar in Pune, India. Over the years, she has not only mastered the intricacies of the practice, but also share her wisdom globally, training scores of teachers and authoring insightful articles on yoga.
Her book, “Tales and Legends of Sages in Light on Yoga,” serves as a bridge between yoga and Indian mythology, showcasing her cultural understanding. Corine’s choreographed demonstrations, some of which received approval from BKS Iyengar, stand as a testament to her profound grasp of the practice. Through her teaching, she encourages students to internalize the essence of yoga while staying true to themselves.
Corine is the director of the Iyengar Yoga Center of Paris. With her teacher training courses, Corine continues to spread the light of yoga, enriching communities around the world with her knowledge and experience.
