Rosana Seligmann worked for 15 years as an actress and university teacher in Brazil. She started practicing Iyengar Yoga in 1998 and studied at the Iyengar Yoga Institute in India for the first time in 2000, at which point she dedicated her work to exclusively teaching yoga. She has returned regularly to India to study with the Iyengar family. She is a Level 3 CIYT and teaches and coordinates the Iyengar Yoga Center of Sao Paulo. She translates and edits yoga articles and books.
For the past 10 years, Rosana has used Iyengar Yoga practice to manage her diagnosis of a progressive form of type 1 diabetes, LADA (latent autoimmune diabetes of adults).
She also dedicates time and some of her workshop income to humanitarian causes. She finds joy in practice and sharing yoga, uniting people and creative forces to make the world fairer, more sustainable, and more democratic.
