Dr. Hermann Traitteur’s workshop on managing minor ailments of the knee joint and preventive knee care will begin with a detailed review of the functional anatomy of the knee. Common minor knee conditions and how their presentation differs among younger, middle-aged, and older yoga practitioners will be presented.
Hermann will then introduce an asana sequence designed to support knee health. The selection of asanas is based on laminated practice sequence cards created by Iyengar Yoga Therapeutics specifically for this topic. The knee sequence cards will be available for purchase soon. Dr. Traitteur will also demonstrate which asanas can be helpful and how they should be modified for various minor knee conditions.
